Video Capture Boards

GV Series General Information A Video Capture Board is a specialized circuit board that adds into a Personal Computer. Specific software (Windows™ 98 and/or ME and/or 2000 and/or XP compatible) is provided with the video capture board to allow users to interface and functions to be performed. You supply the computer (or we'll be happy to). CCTV cameras are connected to ports on the video capture board. Images from the cameras are digitized and processed by the board, computer and related software, displayed on the computer monitor and recorded on the computer hard disk. Remote viewing of live and recorded video is supported by dial-up modem and/or Internet and/or LAN. A word of caution: There can be major incompatibilities between video capture boards, their chipsets and/or drivers and the chipsets on computer motherboards. In other words, not all computers are suitable - even extremely powerful and new systems. The incorporation of a video capture board into a non-Sentry computer system should only be attempted by individuals with a very strong technical understanding of computer hardware and software. A Video Capture Board and Software performs the functions of a: VIDEO MULTIPLEXER (allows multiple CCTV cameras to input simultaneously). DIGITAL TIME LAPSE RECORDER (allows simultaneous multi-camera recordings on computer hard disk). VIDEO MONITOR (allows multi-camera images to be displayed on the computer monitor). A Video Capture Board and Software may also perform the functions of a multi-channel: ALARM MONITOR (Alarm Systems or devices such as motion detectors can input alarm signals which trigger camera recording and even send the recordings to remote computers or notify personnel by telephone/pager). VIDEO MOTION DETECTOR (Recording is triggered by motion in any camera's field of view). REMOTE VIDEO MONITOR (Computer users at other locations can connect to the local Video Capture System by LAN, or dial-up modem and view real-time or recorded camera images, control cameras in real-time and even record remotely. Remote access may also be made via Internet in which case live viewing without camera control is possible). No more expensive Time Lapse VCR's, Multiplexers, Splitters and Video Monitors. No more forgetting to change the VCR tapes. No more tapes wearing out. No more watching tapes of empty rooms for hours on end (with recording only on motion or alarm). No more having to rush to the store/office/plant in the middle of the night to see what is happening if the burglar alarm goes off (with remote computer connection). A Video Capture Board replaces all these things! We offer a comprehensive line of GV video capture boards. The GV-600 series of 30fps boards is available in 4 Port, 8 Port, and 16 Ports, as is the GV-800 120fps series. The GV-1240 240fps series is available with 8 and 16 ports and the GV-1480 480fps series is available with 16 ports. There are many more video capture boards available on the market but no others provide the effectiveness, speed and software functionality of these products, especially at the price!
