GV-Video Server

The GV-Video Server takes video from up to two standard CCTV cameras and processes the video to be optimized for transmission over an IP network. The result is video that can be viewed on a mobile device, standard Internet browser or recorded on a remote PC, Sentry V Series DVR or external USB hard drive.

The GV-Video Server offers a scalable solution for multi-site surveillance and control. Thanks to its wireless (802.11 b/g) transmission capability through an optional USB wireless LAN module, video and audio can be sent over a wireless network. Video is compressed using hardware MPEG4 ASP compression at speeds up to 30 fps at full D1 resolution.

The user-friendly web browser interface simplifies the tasks of monitoring, recording, configuration and control. This interface allows remote live monitoring, remote PTZ and I/O control, camera zoom in and out, and system configuration. Sentry V Series DVRs and video servers offer a solution to integrate both DVR and video server. This can be especially helpful when all camera ports are in use on a Sentry V Series DVR but more cameras are required. Up to 8 additional cameras from video servers can be connected to an existing Sentry V Series DVR providing the total camera count does not exceed 16 cameras.
